Emotional & Mental Health Support
We recognize emotional and psychological well-being is fundamental to stability and growth of young people.
Our service does not end with daily care; it is an active pathway to specialist therapeutic input and collaboration with external agencies, most notably Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We facilitate all assessments and appointments, providing the essential bridge between the young person, our care team, and clinical specialists.
We ensure timely access to various therapies (such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), or play/art therapy, as determined by clinical need) and consistent follow-up. Our staff work closely with therapists to maintain a therapeutic approach within the home environment, ensuring maximum benefit from clinical interventions.
Who Might Need Emotional & Mental Health Support?
This service is essential for young people displaying behaviours and symptoms consistent with underlying mental health conditions, or emotional distress. Timely intervention is key to preventing escalation and promoting healing.
Signs or behaviours that indicate a young person would significantly benefit from this focused support include:
- Withdrawn Behaviour: Isolating themselves, avoiding social interaction with peers and staff, or spending excessive amounts of time alone.
- Significant Changes in Basic Functioning: Dramatic changes in eating habits (over or under-eating), severe sleep disruption (insomnia or hypersomnia), or a marked decline in personal hygiene.
- Disordered Thoughts or Perceptions: Exhibiting paranoia, hearing voices, or expressing beliefs that are significantly out of touch with reality.

Youth Mental Health Trends
The need for intensive emotional and mental health support has never been greater. Official NHS data from the last five years clearly demonstrates a significant and escalating crisis, particularly following the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Given these trends, our service is designed for young people exhibiting severe or persistent emotional and behavioural indicators that are now unfortunately common across the youth population
